Credentials

Jeffrey L. Silverstein, PhD

Dr. Jeffrey L. Silverstein earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the City University of New York. He has more than 30 years experience using applied mathematics to simulate and design industrial chemical plants. During this time, he also used his specialized knowledge in solving complex mathematical problems to tutor high school students with simple methods for improving their grades.

"When I was an undergraduate at City College I enrolled in the college's community tutoring program. I tutored inner city kids in Manhattan and the Bronx in math, chemistry, and physics. I was proud that I was able to help them to improve their grades and their self-esteem. I continued in the program throughout my graduate studies. Because I enjoy tutoring and helping student realize that they can successfully do math and science, I continued tutoring on a part-time basis throughout my professional career. I was a professional tutor in math, chemistry, and physics at Bergen Community ColIege in New Jersey. I started SAT Math Express because I love math and science and  know I can make a positive difference in helping students achieve their academic goals. "

Dr. Jeffrey L. Silverstein and Dr. Christine M. Silverstein have now combined their talents and expertise to develop a unique program for math SAT/ ACT preparation and math and science tutoring.
